What we've been up to

Hey there, friends of 3Arts x Center Pottery!

First and foremost, a very happy 2019 to all of you from our team here at 3Arts x Center Pottery! We can't believe it's been almost a month into the new year already. It has been a while since you’ve heard from us; here is a look at some of our highlights from the past half a year:

1. Handbuilding with seniors from the Lions Befrienders

Last July, Center Pottery – with the aid of the Monetary Authority of Singapore – had the privilege of hosting a group of seniors from the Lions Befrienders for a handbuilding workshop.

The session saw our seniors crafting works of their choice by employing the handbuilding pottery technique.

The marriage of the arts and social sector has always been a focus and priority of Center Pottery. We are passionate about using pottery to promote mental care and wellbeing, and we are so glad to have been a part of these seniors’ pottery journeys.

2. Festivals!

From the Tampines Youth Fest to Festival for Good, from Wake Up Your Idea! to the Boutiques Fair, 3Arts x Center Pottery were delighted to be involved in a few different festivals over the past six months.

Here are some photos from the events:

A huge shout-out to everyone who stopped by to browse, make a purchase, or simply chat with us to find out more about what we do; it means a lot to us, and we hope you enjoyed your time at the various festivals! We look forward to meeting more of you at upcoming festivals this year (scroll down for more details)!

3. Christmas handbuilding workshop

Finally, what better way to end a great year, than with some festive fun?

Our Christmas Pottery programme saw participants drawing on handbuilding techniques to create three of their very own Christmas masterpieces – a Christmas tree tealight holder, a reindeer mug, as well as a Christmas bell.

And that, folks, sums up just three of our highlights from the past six months.

We are excited and looking forward to what 2019 holds for our studios and friends – beginning with three upcoming pop-ups already in store for you!
