FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When are you open and prices?

We have scheduled workshops as listed on our Calendar, and you may also contact us to make an appointment. All bookings are prepaid.

How early should I show up?

We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the session to allow for check-in, waiver verification and safety briefing. 

Health and safety

Every student is required to read and sign a waiver before any participation at Center Pottery. 

What should I bring with me?

Your ID to verify the waiver and a change of clothes just in case. 

Are there lessons available?

If you would like to attend weekly regular lessons, please contact us to discuss a suitable fixed day and time each week.

Pricing

Prices offered on Center Pottery website are quoted in Singapore Dollars. Prices exclude sales taxes, shipping and handling, unless otherwise stated, which will be added to your total invoice price, if applicable. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, tariffs and other fees associated with your order. We reserve the right to change prices for products or services offered on the website at any time. We do not provide price protection or refunds in the event of a price drop or promotional offering.

Class placements and transfers

Once payment has been processed, you are booked for the class/course you have specified. You may transfer your place, up to 7 days prior to the start of a workshop or class. Thereafter, an administrative charge of $20 each time you make a workshop transfer.

Private Workshops

Full payment to be made 7 days before actual event. Lessons cancelled within 24 hours or missed/no-show will be forfeited. No refund for cancellation.

Refunds

Any persons unable to complete their course due to illness or injury must inform us before the workshop starts, and a medical certificate is required as proof of inability to attend. Credit will only be given in exceptional circumstances at Center Pottery’s discretion. No refunds will be given.

What To Wear

Participants are advised to wear long pants, and clothing that you feel comfortable in.

How many people are there in a class?

Every class size is kept very small, 8 pax or less.

How long will it take for me to master the pottery wheel?

Everyone is different. You may progress faster if you practise regularly. Don’t feel bad if you can’t throw a perfect piece on the pottery wheel right away. We have all been there. Plenty of practice is important. Don’t rush yourself, the experience is supposed to be meditative, therapeutic and enjoyable.

Conduct

We reserve the right to terminate your arrangements with Center Pottery if your behaviour or that of any members in the booking is likely in our opinion to cause distress, damage, danger or to annoy customers, other members of the party, employees, property or anyone else. If you arrive for lessons or parties clearly under the influence of alcohol or drugs you will not be permitted to continue and you will not be able to complete your arrangements with us. You will not be eligible for any refund or compensation or any costs you have paid.

Changes to FAQs & Terms and Conditions

Center Pottery reserves the right to make changes to any part of the websites and to add to or change these Terms or the Privacy Policy. It is your responsibility to refer to the Terms whenever you access our websites. Every time you access our websites you agree to be bound by the Terms and the Privacy Policy as varied or amended from time to time.
